Seagull 1963 Watch

It was not until the 1950s that the Chinese produced their first wristwatch. After finding success in its first foray into watchmaking, a few years later, the Chinese Government commissioned the Tianjin Watch Factory to create a watch for the Air Force. The timepiece created was a hand-winding chronograph embellished with 19 jewels. The Seagull 1963 is an official remake of the 1,400 historic watches that were created in 1963. The dial reads ‘19 zuan’, which means 19 jewels and the special-edition watch is encased in a wooden box.
