Alila Villas Hadahaa Resort

The sound of water lapping against your own private villa, pristine white beaches reflecting the twinkle of the sun, and an earnest environmental consciousness provide the backdrop for a boutique resort in a heavenly paradise nestled in the Indian Ocean. Tranquillity and nature’s beauty reign supreme on the serenely picturesque Hadahaa Island, tucked away in the North Huvadhoo Atoll of the Maldives. Situated on one of the world’s deepest atolls, the Alila Villas Hadahaa Resort (a member of the Design Hotels group) brings the island a touch of boutique eco-luxury, and is the first Maldivian resort to receive Green Globe environmental benchmarking certification. The design of the 50 private villas incorporates rainwater harvesting, waste-treatment plants, and preservation of coral reefs. An appreciation of the surrounding environment is holistically incorporated into the villa design, and guests are encouraged to fully embrace the surrounding splendour, and consider the protection of their stunning location. Infinity pools stretch towards sky-high palm trees, and gigantic sliding windows invite the all-encompassing ocean views into the villa. The design aligns with environmental impact assessments, to help protect the fragile environment of the Maldives. Naturalistic wooden decking blends seamlessly with nearby vegetation, while a floating yoga pavilion and a luxurious spa are combined with finesse and extravagant creativity.
