The Pocket Burleigh

The Pocket BURLEIGH has seen it’s popularity rise month on month since its opening in December 2012. With owners David, Michelle, Mario and Annique from an Israeli background, the aromatic and fresh flavours they grew up with is what they stuff into their pita pockets, bringing locals back for more.

A breakfast specialty is their Shakshuka, free-range poached eggs and meatballs baked in a rich tomato and capsicum sauce with Tunisian spices served straight from the oven with a side of tahini and a pita pocket.

If you’re into sharing, the pocket serves a variety of plates, the favourite being the mezzo plate. A selection of homemade dips, falafel balls, marinated roasted vegetables, fresh salad and pickles is served with pita bread. Wash this down with their amazing homemade fresh lemonade, infused with rosewater and mint, and your meal is complete.
