Boardriders by Quiksilver opens at The Strand Coolangatta

Boardriders, the flagship concept store developed by Quiksilver, has opened at The Strand Coolangatta just in time for the Quiksilver Pro. The store is the first of its kind in Australia.

Joining Capbreton, Paris, Moscow and Barcelona, the Gold Coast now boasts its own Boardriders store at The Strand Coolangatta. Just moments from world-class breaks at Snapper Rocks and Kirra, the unique space pays homage to surf culture and showcases all of the brands under the Quiksilver umbrella including Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes alongside a cafe and licensed bar. Each Boardriders concept store is completely unique to the location. The new Gold Coast digs features a surfboard carousel so surfers can do a little window-shopping as they wait for their coffee.

Born on the beach in 1969, Quiksilver’s core concept of fashion with function has been embraced by all who enjoy active, outdoor lifestyles. The brand has moved beyond being just a fashion apparel company and is recognised as the world’s leading outdoor sports lifestyle company.

The store will provide the perfect backdrop to catch the highlights from the Quiksilver and Roxy Pros that take over Snapper this weekend. There will also be weekly yoga classes with local yoga instructor Crystal O’Rourke. To celebrate the opening of Boardriders, the store is hosting an athlete signing on Friday from 5:00–6:00 pm where you can meet the Quiksilver and Roxy team. From 6:00 pm the official opening party kicks off with performances by Betty The Shark and Orphans Orphans. There’s limited spaces so you’re best to get there early to secure your spot. See our Stumble Guide for opening times.
