On the first Sunday of every month, the RSL hall on Sixth Avenue in Burleigh Heads will be decked with retro umbrellas, flamingos and flowers as the Gold Coast Design Collective Markets takes over. The event showcases wares from Gold Coast creatives including vegan soaps, handmade ceramics, fabric accessories and illustrated cards alongside bespoke furniture that is made from upcycled train track sleepers. The Gold Coast Design Collective Markets runs from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and entry is a gold coin. Proceeds go towards the entertainment for the day and the Koala foundation.
