Favourites and fresh faces feature at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane

While there are still a few months to go until the return of Brisbane’s annual showcase of the latest in fashion, the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival program has been released and fashionistas dreaming of the front row are already busy planning their week of outfits.

Across nine group shows featuring local, national and international fashion designers and retailers, this year’s parades will be held beneath the festival marquee in Queens Park outside Treasury Casino & Hotel in the city. Major names like Akira, Ginger & Smart and Camilla will join Queensland favourites Easton Pearson, Paul Hunt, Pia du Pradal and Sacha Drake, while graduate designs from Australia’s top six fashion colleges compete for the covetable Australian Fashion Graduate of the Year award.

Perhaps take an intellectual approach this year and increase your fashion awareness at Deepen The Conversation, a panel discussion of fashion and cultural identity at The State Library.
