Work-Shop brings creative community classes to Brisbane

Stop Googling how to do everything and start learning the old-fashioned way at a face-to-face, hands-on short course.

Ever wanted to grow herbs without killing them, hand-craft resin jewellery or fashion a chandelier out of polish paper? Well now you can, along with a raft of other art, craft and lifestyle projects, thanks to Work-Shop – the provider of Australia’s most unique creative community classes. Having just set up shop in Brisbane, Work-Shop will soon be running courses up three times a week out of the beautiful warehouse space occupied by The Autumn Co. in Merivale Street, South Brisbane. Each class is taught by local artists and industry experts who are killing it in their respective fields, so there’s no doubt you’ll be learning from the best.

Classes teed up so far include watercolour skills, intro to ikebana (the art of Japanese flower arranging), a beginner’s guide to growing succulents and hand lettering basics. New courses are being added all the time, so keep checking the website and let your creative juices start flowing. See what all the fuss is about at Work-Shop’s launch party on August 7 at 6:00 pm. Check out the Work-Shop Facebook page for more details.
