French brand Vicomte A. expands to Australia

In 2004, Arthur de Soultrait was sent by his Paris business school to embark on a period of work experience in the US. But a short time after his arrival in North Carolina, the company went bankrupt and he went door-to-door selling ties in order to pay for his return ticket to France. This entrepreneurial manoeuvre was the fledgling beginnings of French fashion house Vicomte A..

The ready-to-wear brand crafts classical elegant looks that range from sportswear-driven attire to dapper tailoring. Vicomte A. boutiques are dotted all throughout Arthur’s home country, with a smattering of international boutiques in Romania, Dominican Republic, Slovakia, Tunisia, the US and UK. Now the brand has set its sights on Australia, expanding to our fair shores in an online format.

Inspired by the world of polo and equestrianism, golf, sailing and tennis, the CLUB line reinterprets tradition with colour and cheek, while the CLASSIC line offers elegant basics and smart casual tailoring. Elbow-patched pullovers and dapper cashmere polos feature alongside boater sweaters, chinos and button-ups in the upcoming spring/summer collection. Stay tuned to the website and Facebook page for the launch.
