Help not only yourself but also underprivileged communities with stylish basics from Australian eco label, Vege Threads.

This is the time of year that we start thinking about what we’ve achieved over the past 12 months and if it will be enough to appease Santa. South Australian label Vege Threads is helping us to fill our do-good quota before the year is out, by offering up a sleek range of environmentally and socially responsible pieces. Not only is the new 2014/15 collection easy on the earth, but a percentage of profits from every online sale is donated to the Peduli Sesama Philanthropic Work foundation in northern Bali, which provides disadvantaged locals with food, bedding and medical aid.

The label’s new range was released just a few weeks ago, boasting a simple yet chic set of tees, shorts, dresses and yoga wear. Ladies can also nab a special Beccy Bromillow x Vege Threads collaboration sandal, handmade in South Australian using kangaroo leather and vegetable tan. A majority of the collection is made in Australia using Australian dyes and 100% certified organic cotton jersey, while a small portion of the children’s range and plant-dyed tencel pieces are crafted in Indonesia. Head online to browse men’s wear, women’s wear and children’s wear, or find a few favourites at Clap Hands in Mitchelton, Small Stall in Palm Beach, A Little Birdie Told Me in Burleigh Heads and You, The Earth & Me in Coolum Beach.
