Trinkit Hunter opens on Latrobe Terrace

Often there is nostalgia and a sense of romance bound in vintage objects, as each carries a unique story and personality, influenced by those who have worn it, where it has travelled and how many hands it has passed through. By giving a vintage item a home, you gain a little piece of history and the ability to add your own mark on its future.

Trinkit Hunter ensures that pre-loved objects find a special home, giving vintage and ethnic clothing, jewellery, accessories and homewares the chance to extend their life cycle. Renouncing the traits of a buy-once throw-away culture, new Paddington boutique Trinkit Hunter aims to shift the mindsets of consumers and help create sustainable shopping habits by sourcing vintage and pre-loved wares and purchasing directly from local ethnic groups.

The Latrobe Terrace store contains a mix of wares for both ladies and gents, and each piece has been hand-selected to fit the store’s desert witchery and seaside gypsy theme, flavoured with American southwest and 1970s rock ‘n’ roll influences. The range includes items from cultures including American Indian, Aztec, Mexican, Indian, Afghan, Turkish, Hmong and island communities such as Papua New Guinea and the Philippines.
