Rolling Stones Shiraz

Fill your glass with The Rolling Stones special-edition shiraz

Seven thousand six packs of McLaren Vale shiraz have been crafted in honour of The Rolling Stones’ 50th anniversary. Lower the needle on your favourite album from the band’s catalogue and pour yourself a drop of red.

It was with heavy hearts that we heard the news iconic rock band The Rolling Stones cancelled their Australian and New Zealand tour last month – to announce a new set of rescheduled 2014 shows this week – but at least those of us who missed out on the visual experience can treat our other senses to a drop of limited-edition wine. Ahead of the band’s first Australian tour in almost a decade, Dan Murphy’s collaborated with Warburn Estate to craft The Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Shiraz.

Just like those intrepid ageing fellas, the wine is a gutsy and bold drop, with aromas of dark red fruits like plum, blackcurrant and mulberry, and a hint of cedar and spice. Pick up the 2012 vintage McLaren Vale shiraz from Dan Murphy’s outlets around Brisbane or order your collector’s item online.
