Rachel Burke launches new label The Hiding Tree

Stitchery local and commander of charitable acts of fashion Rachel Burke has been squirrelling away at a new project. Dubbed The Hiding Tree, this new label encompasses similar themes to Rachel’s past ventures Yellowcake and her I make. you wear it. campaign, capturing dreams of frolicking in secret gardens within each garment.

The Hiding Tree’s first spring/summer collection Love Is a State of Mind promises to feature many a ruffle amongst the range – a signature among Rachel’s designs. Soft shades of lemon, icy blue, lavender and rose appear in line with this season’s pastel palette, with dashes of bright pink and purple gemstones among the embellishments.

With a desire to create statement pieces for the young woman who approaches life with whimsical outlook, Rachel has drawn upon nostalgia, childhood memories and young folly to inspire her scalloped collars and tulle skirting. Romantic in notion and feminine in silhouette, The Hiding Tree’s spring collection will be available at Princess Polly in Fortitude Valley by the month’s end.
