SWOP inhabits a new space and launches online store

After setting up shop in West End behind the ABSOE building on Boundary Street last year, clothing exchange SWOP outgrew its modest shop space quickly, and has now moved into a bigger and brighter space next door.

The creation of local ladies Brigid and Bethany, SWOP is a haven of affordable vintage and sustainable fashion. Based on a model where local denizens can buy, sell and trade vintage and modern clothing, SWOP offers a place where secondhand threads can find a new home and avoid ending up in landfill.

A dedicated SWOP station has been moved to rear of the store, where the team does all of its buying on Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, offering cash at 25% of the sale price or 50% in-store credit for your goods. If your threads aren’t swooped up by your friendly buyer you may conveniently leave them with the team, who will donate the remaining pieces to charity on your behalf. SWOP has also launched a new online store, with a selection of pieces now available for shipping across the nation.
