Dive into the deep blue with our picks for summer swimwear

Queensland water babies may whinge over the few short winter months that make swimming sans wetsuit uncomfortable, but rest assured the ocean is back to perfect in the Sunshine State.

That sparkling ocean is calling our names so we’ve checked out the new collections from our favourite labels to cultivate a cracking list of full-pieces and bikinis. Staying close to home, Brisbane’s La Biquini is keeping the ocean colourful with the tropical Banana-Rama bikini and Ocean Paradise strapless full-piece, while Winn Lane-based label House of Cards is presenting a pre-order sneak peek of Yatta: Part 3. Check out the Last Resort bikini or unite the Leader top with Destiny bottom. Local label Molly & Polly has brought the goods once again, with the Yum Yum Bubblegum full-piece available for pre-order.

Zulu & Zephyr’s Castaway summer 2014 collection features simple yet stylish designs, like the Deserted and Plantation bikinis and Dusk full-piece. Wild Barra Co has splashed the vibrant designs of Cairns artist Shaun Edwards across swimwear, while looking south to Melbourne, Emma Mulholland has crafted a dreamy Annual Leaf one-piece and the equally ethereal Nine to Five bikini. Our online go-to ASOS is bringing the big guns with the Arena Pow Print swimsuit and Maaji Peaches and Wolves bikini; meanwhile, wave riders in search of that elusive feminine rashie can check out Suboo’s Palm and Cut-out styles or the Peony rashie bikini.
