Speed Seed brings ideas and investors together
Getting a community project or social enterprise off the ground can be hard work, especially if you can’t find the funding to make it happen. But if you look in the right place, there are plenty of kind folk who want to make a difference in their community and invest a few dollars into making ideas happen.
Working together with Brisbane City Council, The Goodness Inc social platform will be hosting a series of Speed Seed events to bring those with ideas and those with capital to invest together. Focused on social and environmental ideas, the sessions offer a chance for both sides of the changemaker equation to meet, get to know each other and create positive change. Speed Seed encourages people with great ideas to take great action, by making it easier to get their ideas off the ground and support projects that will help to make the world – or our little patch of it – a better place.
Three events will be held over the next few months to October, which will provide the opportunity to kick-start funding for social and environmental action at a grassroots level. Interested ‘changemaker investors’ can register online before Thursday May 22. The first event will be held at Wandering Cooks in South Brisbane from 6:00–8:00 pm on May 22.
