Get on your bike for Pedal Brisbane

Get on your bike for Pedal Brisbane

Whether you prefer to don the lycra and put the bum padding to the test, or lean back on your cruiser and take it easy, all manner of cyclists are invited to help celebrate Brisbane’s bike culture this weekend.

From an outdoor cinema to an innovators market, the Pedal Brisbane exhibition and festival will promote cycling in Brisbane this Friday and Saturday November 28–29. Following the overwhelming success of the very first Pedal Brisbane event last year, the second annual exhibition will kick off with a Radio National Big Ideas debate on the Friday evening, then continue with the main event from 12:00–10:00 pm on Saturday.

The outdoor areas of Queensland Museum will be filled with design and photography displays, market stalls, public panel discussions, bike giveaways, kids’ and adults’ activities, live painting by 10 local artists and much more. The Style Over Speed group ride will see crews of casual cyclists cruising in to the event together from a central city location. Find more information about the event online.
