Discover recycled living at House 139, Paddington
Injecting a spot of greenery about your home requires sweet pots to cradle your new mini cacti garden. If recycling ranks highly in your personal ethos, those empty chickpea cans from last night’s dinner can be spruced up with some gift wrap or paint. But if your interiors style is a little more refined, let us introduce you to the Oohh Collection by Lübech Living.
A distributor of European brands Vance Kitira and Bauholz Design (as well as founder of dance institute House of Dance in Denmark), Lübech Living has created its own homewares line, with Oohh Collection products ticking both fairtrade and eco boxes. The pillars of the label are recycled pots, vases and bowls in a variety of textures and colours. Inspired by nature and the environment, these holders are made from recycled paper, sand, natural rubber latex, eco-felt made from plastic bottles and bags and upcycled mahogany that has been discarded from the furniture industry in Sri Lanka.
A group of women in Sri Lanka make the holders by hand at home, the work allowing the women to take care of their children and households, while earning an additional income for their families. Lübech Living then buys the products from the group and waterproofs them. Find these creased paper pots for holding candles, foliage and other knick knacks at House 139 in Paddington.
