Local label O’Shirt raises funds with new design

Brisbane fashion label O’Shirt has teamed up with budding designer Evi. O to create the House of Joy t-shirt, which will help raise funds for the Botswana Orphan Project (BOP).

The new t-shirt design has also launched the O’Shirt brand’s ‘pay what it’s worth’ campaign, in which customers can choose how much money to pay for their purchase, and therefore the value of their donation to the BOP charity. O’Shirt is the brainchild of BOP founding director Ryan Williams, who aims to raise awareness and funds for some great causes and charities around the world. Every fortnight, O’Shirt selects a different designer to create a limited-edition t-shirt, with seven dollars of every sale going to the charity of choice.

BOP aims to alleviate issues arising from the HIV/AIDS crisis in Botswana. The charity has built six orphanages so far and will use the funds raised to build facilities such as a teachers house and a greenhouse in order to become financially sustainable.

The House of Joy shirt is available for purchase online for a limited time.
