Molten Store hosts The Pop Up Trove on James Street

Just a month shy of its third anniversary, local online retailer Molten Store has set up a temporary residency in Fortitude Valley to showcase its bounty of unique otherworldly accessories in all their tangible glory. A reincarnation of the pop-up store held within the precinct in 2012, the new The Pop Up Trove is tucked in next door to Easton Pearson at 60 James Street.

Director Jessy Cameron pulled together the refit for this latest fleeting den of goodness in just two days, with the generous helping hands of friends and family, adding a new lick of pant and a few architectural touches to the shop’s shell. The cloud designed by architect Paul Owen and copywriter Marianne Harvey in collaboration with Nick Flutter for a past Seven With Another exhibition is getting another run within the space, suspended above Jessy’s dazzling jewellery and minaudière clutches.

Those moseying up to the corner lot will be treated to Molten Store’s in-house labels Molten Relic and Dawn is Mine, as well as a curated selection of sourced goods. Molten Relic’s debut collection The Mad Ones was inspired by Jessy’s fascination with The Little Mermaid, and sees abalone shell, balsa wood and brass adorn minaudière clutches and handmade jewellery. Select pieces from the Dawn is Mine range were also recently featured in the June edition of Vogue China. Running from Wednesday June 11 through to Thursday July 10, The Pop Up Trove will be open seven days – Monday to Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 9:30 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
