Molten Store has been a consistent dreamy presence on James Street for a number of years, luring in sparkle chasers with its collection of lustrous and lust-worthy accessories. Although Molten Store has grown in popularity, it has always existed on James Street as a pop-up store – until now. It has found a new, permanent home at 49 James Street, in the space formerly occupied by garden store D.I.G. Founder Jessy Cameron described the previous incarnation as a rough-and-tumble youth, with the new flagship store being a more grown-up manifestation of Molten Store’s ethos and approach to boutique jewellery.

The ethereal space is furnished with tables by Paul Owen shaped in such a way that represents the moon’s phases, as well as striking brass racks from fifteenthirtyeight. The ceiling is adorned in glistening handmade artwork from Susan Lincoln, who has dismantled previous pieces made for Molten Store to create new works from off cuts and existing elements. Molten Store continues to stock its iconic range of otherworldly jewellery and accessories, but is introducing Molten Bridal, a by-appointment shopping experience for wild brides with a taste for the unconventional. The new location will be officially launched on Saturday June 18 in partnership with superfood dispensary Pineapple Express.
