Designers, models and spectators will be flooding the city streets next week as the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival returns to Brisbane for the ninth time. Once again finding a comfortable home in Brisbane City Hall, the festival will kick off this Sunday August 24 and run until next Friday August 29. From the Emerging Designer Group Show to the Fashion In The City Parade, style stalkers will be treated to an array of catwalk shows and special interactive events.

The events program will see local, national and international designers showcasing their new spring/summer collections, with designs from labels like Ginger & Smart and Easton Pearson to Tengdahl and Toni Maticevski taking to the catwalk. For the first time, the Own It campaign will allow viewers to take a second peek at their favourite looks via the runway gallery, then link straight through to the designer’s online store. The Lifeline pop-up shop Dress to Impress for Less will also be offering pre-loved designer clothing and vintage garments for thrifty shoppers, while The Fashion Bar in the King George Square Forecourt will be keeping the champagne flowing.
