TWE Loyal Stricklin

Up your hiking style with Loyal Stricklin rucksack

Your grandkids will be counting down the days until they inherit your Loyal Stricklin backpack.

The leather-clad mason jar Aviator Mug by Alabama-based brand Loyal Stricklin has become a requisite appendage for many a hipster, and it now comes – after a lot of teasing on Instagram over the past few months – with a matching leather rucksack.

Made from four-ounce Tan Horween Chromexcel with nine-ounce Natural Chromexcel straps, the roll-top rucksack is intended to see you through your wilderness wanderings from now until your dying day. The sturdy front pocket can hold everything from your iPad, to your journal, to your axe (you never know when it might come in handy). Plus you can attach your Aviator Mug neatly to the buckle for those mid-forest cups of coffee.

Up until now, designer and maker Michael Stricklin has crafted his wares in a century-old house in the quaint historic town of Opelika, Alabama, with one employee (and an adorable pup, Mason) to lend a hand. This month, the trio will be moving its workshop into the old train depot in Opelika’s historic downtown.
