Vanishing Elephant delivers must-have lady loafers
A few years ago there was an image on The Sartorialist of a girl sitting street-side along The Seine in Paris. Dressed in chic winter tones of black and burgundy and a cigarette delicately positioned between two fingers, the girl was French street-style perfection.
But what caught our eye the most were the mannish loafers that adorned her feet and, ever since, acquiring the perfect pair has been on our style to-do list. Luckily for us, favourite lad brand Vanishing Elephant ventured into female threads last year, with the label’s new autumn/winter collection delivering a refined selection of lady loafers.
Void of any resemblance to Granny’s lawn bowls footwear, the Black Patent Loafer sits atop a slight wooden heel, with curved cutaways at the sides and a double tassel. A slim-line wool loafer also features for the cooler season, with a deep red and black varietal set against a lighter, multi-combination of mint, pink and orange tones. Keep an eye out online for release dates.
