Don minimalist KRISVANASSCHE sunglasses this summer
Belgian fashion designer Kris Van Assche has an acute attention to detail. Having studied at the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts before moving to Paris to work for Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior, Kris developed his impeccable design repertoire before branching out on his own.
Maintaining his position as the artistic director for Dior Homme, Kris continues to deliver personal collections under the name KRISVANASSCHE as well. Minimalist and masculine, Kris’ designs caress the divide between contemporary and classic, removing established codes and taking a fresh transversal approach that allows for both soft yet rugged wardrobe essentials.
The unshakeable palette of black, grey and chocolate of his clothing line translates to his eyewear designs, with his latest glasses collection also featuring cloudy white amongst the classic hues. In his spring/summer offering, marble, tortoiseshell or solid frames are paired with clear arms, which house an internal metal frame. Super durable, these translucent temples are strong, with the metal framework offering extra support to the entire frame.
From the classic A Single Man frames, to a flip-down lens protruding from its tortoiseshell outer, explore the new KRISVANASSCHE collection at One Point Seven Four in Fortitude Valley.
