Kirstie Clements releases autobiography The Vogue Factor

The September Issue documentary about Vogue in the US gave us insight into the world of legendary editor, Anna Wintour. In the Paper Giants: The birth of Cleo television series, we saw how Ita Buttrose and Kerry Packer shaped a new era of women’s magazines.

And now from the hand of ex-Vogue Australia editor Kirstie Clements, eager readers are given access to the world behind the pages of one of the top local fashion publications. In a particularly public manner, Kirstie Clements was ousted, along with many of her staff, from Vogue Australia last May. But Melbourne University Press saw this as an opportunity for Kirstie to pen an autobiography.

From early beginnings on the reception desk to 13 years in the role of editor, Kirstie has dedicated the past 25 years to Australian fashion. Her book The Vogue Factor takes readers behind the scenes of this fast-paced industry, narrating the stories behind the covers, and giving insight into her climb to the top.
