Stay on time and looking fine with a timepiece from iKi

Does one’s watch really need to be emblazoned with diamonds, rubies and pearls to be regarded as stylish? No. No, it doesn’t. Let’s dial it back a bit and keep it simple.

Melbourne-based design studio, iKi, supports the notion that less is more, which is quite apt considering that ‘iki’ is a Japanese ideal meaning ‘elegant or chic, without being exuberant or complicated.’ After a year of trailing different aesthetics and functions, the iKi team finally came up with the goods: the ‘A’ Series. Simple and timeless (no pun intended), an iKi timepiece will take you from an afternoon barbie to a swanky cocktail party with ease; like a round peg in a round hole, it’ll never be out of place.

Whether you prefer the A01 – a bold, monochromatic colour palette made up of gunmetal casing, a stainless steel face and black leather strap – or the A02 – a sophisticated aesthetic marrying rose gold casing, a white face and tan leather strap – an ‘A’ Series watch will keep you on time and looking fine. Crafted from the highest quality materials, like hardy sapphire crystal glass and buttery soft calfskin leather, you’d think one of these babies would cost a pretty penny. But you’d be wrong. Iki watches are so affordable, you could probably spring for both designs. Check out iKi’s Kickstarter campaign for more info on availability.
