Gawk at Brisbane’s first bridge swing this weekend

Daring locals will be taking up the inaugural Goodwill Swing to Save challenge this weekend to help raise funds for Save The Children.

You might have walked or cycled across the Goodwill Bridge oodles of times over the past 13 years, but this weekend 250 local residents will be enjoying the view from a different angle as they take up the Goodwill Swing to Save challenge. The 450-metre-long pedestrian and cycle bridge will be the launch site for the inaugural charity event, which will see fearless folks free-falling above the Brisbane River.

All proceeds from Brisbane’s first ever bridge swing will go towards assisting vulnerable children across the state through Save The Children’s education and child protection programs. If you’d rather donate some dollars instead of fly through the air, check out the teams and participants online and pledge your donation. Head down to the viewing platform beside the Queensland Maritime Museum between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm this Friday October 24 and Saturday October 25 to show your support.
