Save your must-read articles for later with the launch of Favourites

It’s okay guys. We know you’re busy. And sometimes you can’t read all of The Weekend Edition’s articles as soon as it arrives in your inbox. But have you ever looked and thought, ‘oooh yes I will read you later’ and then forget what it was when you go back? Let this feeling be a distant memory. We would like to introduce you to Favourites.

Favourites is a new function on The Weekend Edition, which allows you to save your favourite articles in a handy little tab. When you find an article you like in Food & Drink, Gentlefolk, Design, The Locals or Destination, notice an event you’d like to attend in the Events Guide or Event News, or a locale you’ve been meaning to try in The Stumble Guide, you can click on the heart icon near the article title and it will instantly be added to your favourites.

When you go to your Favourites page (get there via the button on the top right of your browser window), you can see articles, places or events that you love so you can come back and read them later. You can use the drop-down menu to choose what kind of content you want to see (articles, places or events), and also select how your favourites are sorted, to make it easier to find what you are looking for. While you are viewing events or places, buttons will also appear to allow you to swap between list and map views, so you can see what is nearby.

Finally, you can use the heart icon in list view to remove items from your favourites. They will hang around until you reload the page, just in case you change your mind! And remember – we use cookies on your computer to store your favourites, so if you clear your cookies or use a different browser, we won’t be able to remember them. Happy clicking!
