Snap on a de Lore Couture five-panel cap

de Lore Couture draws inspiration from its family heritage and nature. Andy de Lore is at the helm of the local brand, with his family name able to be traced back to medieval France to Ambroise de Loré – a French military commander and comrade of Joan of Arc.

Taking a stand against the use of chemicals and excessive waste in fashion, de Lore Couture aims to positively support the environment, wildlife and humanitarian causes through its conscious clothing and accessories. The Brisbane label produces pocket tees, five-panel caps and sunglasses from organic and recycled materials, made under ethical conditions both locally and in New Zealand.

The limited-edition five-panel caps are made with organic hemp tweed and recycled corduroy, along with vintage French Art Nouveau fabrics, which hold more than 130 years of history. These rare 19th-century fabrics that harness the de Lore’s French roots can also be found on the pockets of the brand’s staple tees. In a collaborative effort with Holloway eyewear, Andy has also crafted sunglasses from recycled skateboard decks, and sees footwear production in the brand’s future. You can find the caps online.
