Recognising that many women are too busy to spend time scouring op shops for treasures that don’t always emerge, Sarah reached a moment of clarity that had her envisioning garments that featured shapes of bygone times – and were additionally sustainable, high quality and ready to wear.

Sarah recognised that many new fashion items can be ideal for those prepared to don cookie-cutter, unimaginative clothing, and saw a gap left for those seeking ready-made pieces in more stylish and varied shapes. From that realisation, Citizen Collective was born – a collection of vintage wares in an easy online location. The ambitious store owner also hopes to provide vintage garments for men in the near future. Inspired not only by years gone by, but also by Sarah’s travels abroad, Citizen Collective highlights bold colours, intricate details and simple prints.
