Brisbane Fringe Fashion showcases emerging sustainable style

Running as part of Brisbane Fringe Festival, Brisbane Fringe Fashion is holding a host of events to tickle your emerging designer and sustainable fashion fancy.

This weekend the Flash Fashion Parade will take to the city, beginning at Brew Cafe and Wine Bar and winding its way up Burnett Lane. Showcasing local emerging fashion designers and featuring burlesque models and a drummer boy, the Flash Fashion Parade commences at 6:00 pm this Friday September 21.

Next weekend will see the Seamless Designer Market pop up at new West End gallery space The Box – formerly the old Boxvintage digs. Fashion and music will come together at the Seamless Designer Market, with garments by local sustainable fashion labels on show, while the musical talents of Brisbane drift throughout the space.

The Seamless Designer Market will give gentlemen and gentlewomen the opportunity to discuss the material selection, packaging and design processes that go into a sustainable brand, expanding people’s knowledge of how fashion can lead to waste. Expect to find Brisbane Fringe Fashion co-founder Lis Harvey there with her label Nico Underwear, alongside Baumbach, Fabled and True, Killari and Kip and Brand.
