Add to your eyewear wardrobe with Bespecd

While wandering the streets of Shanghai, Tracey Cruickshank noticed a dramatic difference in the price of up-to-the-minute stylish eyewear in her adopted home, compared to her homeland of Australia. This was the spark for the initial sketching of the Bespecd brand – which the portrait and fashion photographer launched in 2013 with guidance from Creative Enterprise Australia’s Fashion Incubator.

Bespecd operates from an online shopfront, crafting men’s and women’s optical frames and sunglasses. Taking the idea of an eyewear wardrobe becoming more common, Bespecd offers up well-crafted designs that are both functional and beautiful and draw inspiration from the latest trends.

These stylish spectacles don’t cost the earth, and are handmade from high-quality materials sourced from Italy, Korea, China and Japan. And if you’re not sure if your new frames should channel Gregory Peck, Truman Capote or Skrillex, you can put Bespecd’s free home trial to good use, trying up to five pairs of frames at home for five days.

Every pair of frames sold also sees a donation made to one of a number of causes that the customer can choose from, including planting a tree through Rainforest Rescue, giving a pair of glasses to someone in need in Indonesia, providing drinking water to a community in Ethiopia or supporting disadvantaged youths in developing nations.
