Atomic Martini Vintage moves to Clayfield
Lutwyche expat Atomic Martini Vintage has made the move to Clayfield, finding a new home in an old Queenslander-esque shop front on Junction Road. Sweet wooden scalloping now frames red signage at the side, with generous front windows allowing for a clear peek inside if you happen to wander past on one of the shop’s days off.
Specialising in fine vintage and retro clothing and accessories, Atomic Martini Vintage directly focuses on fashion from the 1940s to 1980s. Inside the boutique, racks of clothes are meticulously categorised into styles and eras, with each garment featuring a small handwritten tag specifying the history, style and condition of each piece.
A men’s corner at the back brims with fedoras and golfing vests, with a hefty collection of products from Morningside-based grooming label Uppercut Deluxe. A reading nook sits amongst a shrine to moustaches, the comfy couches conveniently positioned next to a collection of books on iconic fashion designers for those awaiting a changing shopper.
