Take up the 30 Days of Biking challenge

A merry band of bikers is acting as your personal cheer squad, encouraging you to take on the 30 Days of Biking mission and help children in need.

Keeping the wheels turning – both metaphorically and literally – can be an arduous task, especially when the revolutions require plenty of grunt and manpower. But a little encouragement can go a long way, and the online community of 30 Days of Biking is here to show its support and keep you motivated. The international bicycling initiative aims to encourage people to commit to hopping on their bikes every day for a whole month, regardless of whether that means rolling up the road for five minutes to buy some milk or taking the long, scenic route to work.

Now in its fifth year of operation, 30 Days of Biking has received more pledges in 2014 than in any other year, which is great news not only for the health of the community but also the young beneficiaries of Free Bikes 4 Kidz. The non-profit organisation will be donating one bicycle to a child who couldn’t otherwise afford it for every 30 people who commit to the 30 Days of Biking challenge. So don’t let another day slip by – register online and share your experiences via social media using the hashtag #30daysofbiking.
