Our city is thriving with creative talent, from musicians to artists to designers. But as many of us know, sometimes talent can only get us so far – and then we need a break. The DHL Express Fashion Export Scholarship 2015 will be that much-needed break for one emerging Australian fashion designer, granting the winner the opportunity to grow his or her business internationally. Entries are open now, meaning local designers have just two weeks to get their applications in before the competition closes Thursday April 30.

With the scholarship now being in its sixth year, past winners have included Bec & Bridge, We Are Handsome, Haryono Setiadi, KHALO and Michael Lo Sordo. Entries are open to all Australian fashion designers and labels that have been exporting their pieces for less than four years. The total prize package includes $10,000 worth of international freight, mentorship from IMG Fashion and DHL Express, and a trip to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, including an exclusive meeting with an international buyer.
