Yum Yum Gyoza House opens at Bulimba

A new hole-in-the-wall gyoza bar has opened in Bulimba, fusing both Japanese and Chinese cuisines. Owned by the same folk as the ever-fresh Sushi Station near the cinema, Yum Yum Gyoza House is turning over a busy lunchtime trade, with its late-night opening hours (until 10:30 pm) sure to prove popular with cinema-goers and night owls.

Gyoza parcels come in pork, prawn, teriyaki chicken and vegetable varietals, with five pieces for five dollars barely causing a dint in your lunch fund. The gyoza, along with the vegetable and chicken spring rolls, are hand-rolled fresh on-site each day. The Filipino and Malaysian chefs also whip up rice and noodle dishes, with Dumpling Noodle Soup, Singapore Noodles and Chicken Shogayaki among the offerings.

Patrons can pull up a stool at the bar, overlooking the handiwork of the clever chefs, or take away to enjoy at home or at the park just up the road. Vegetarian, gluten-free and spice indicators are clearly marked on the menu.
