Wholesomeness opens cafe in the Grange

Following success as a food delivery service and Eat Street Market stallholder, Wholesomeness is now dishing up its nourishing nibbles from a cafe and pick-up point in the Grange.

You may remember the good folks from Wholesomeness in our coverage in February last year – back then, Brisbane’s Ben and Georgia Limmer were starting out on their organic wholefoods journey, having just launched a health-focused, pre-prepared meal service delivering dishes from the Sunshine Coast through Brisbane and down to the Gold Coast. Over the past year, the pair has certainly taken things up a notch, having had a successful run at Hamilton’s Eat Street Markets and now stocking ready-made meals in Drakes IGAs and opening a new shopfront in the Grange.

Nestled on Days Road, the petite cafe and pick-up point specialises in paleo-friendly, gluten-, dairy- and sugar-free fare. From the nourishing salads sitting pretty in the cabinet to the specials scribbled on the blackboard, the meals on offer are made using organic and seasonal produce, sustainable seafood and grass-fed/pastured and hormone-free meats. Start the day with a cup of Rouge Coffee or KT Organics tea, an organic cold-pressed juice or an indulgent smoothie featuring raw cacao, coconut protein, super greens, almonds, dates, goji and almond mylk. The menu changes daily but all-day breakfast might include poached eggs with pulled pork, potato hash, spinach and tomato jam, lunch may see sticky citrus wings or herby meatballs paired with crispy chat potatoes and seeded vinaigrette slaw, while dinner might feature Southern-style pulled beef or braised apple pulled pork with sides.
