TWE The Cutting Board, Brisbane City

The Cutting Board opens in Brisbane City

Meat lovers, lend us your maws. A new carnivore-centric eat house has opened in Brisbane City, serving hearty feasts to famished office workers.

Those who believe lettuce is for rabbits and the barnyard is a pantry will be well sated at The Cutting Board, a new breakfast and lunch servery in Brisbane City. Perched on the corner of Ann and George Streets, the new venue is doing a bustling trade Monday to Friday, proffering loaded burgers and tender cuts of meat to those with rumbling bellies and mighty appetites.

The coffee window swings open at 6:00 am every weekday morning, granting cups of Vittoria coffee to the city’s earlybirds. Workers can fuel up on generous breakfast burgers or the cafe’s namesake offering, which sees eggs sharing the cutting board with crispy bacon, mushroom, haloumi, chorizo, spinach, relish and sourdough. Come lunchtime you’ll find glazed ham on the bone, slow-cooked pork shoulder and beef brisket emerging from the oven, as well as a selection of sandwiches featuring filling combinations like free-range ham with horseradish cream, cheese, tomato, lettuce and pickles. Ferret your Classic Cheese, New Yorker or The Brisbane burger back to your office cubicle or take a detour along the river to feast in peace.
