Savour the Taste of Lanka at Wandering Cooks

These days, five bucks won’t get you much, but it will get you entry into Taste of Lanka – a festive night of authentic Sri Lankan nosh, craft and performances.

Hosted at Wandering Cooks – which, if you haven’t already heard, is Brisbane’s best hub for foodies – Taste of Lanka promises to be a night of fun, food and festivities to celebrate Sri Lankan culture in Brisbane. Head along on 30 August where, from 6:00 pm – 9:00pm, you can fill your tummy with authentic, organic Sri Lankan curries, enjoy performances by Sri Lankan dancers, have a gander at craft and health products that have been lovingly made by ethical community organisations in Sri Lanka, and watch a few short flicks that showcase positive community-building stories.

Believe it or not, entry is only $5, and all funds raised on the night will go towards the annual Venesa Matram Symposium held in Sri Lanka to support community workers to network, share skills, access training and strengthen their capacity to work with communities around Sri Lanka.

The Stumble Guide is our comprehensive Brisbane dining guide with more than 2400 places to eat, drink, shop and play.
