Sun & Earth Organics serves up lunch in New Farm

Favourite local organic grocer Sun & Earth Organics at New Farm has started serving lunch offerings, covering organic, gluten-free and vegan-friendly bases.

The Wild Mushroom Arancini and an Asparagus and Goats Cheese Tart come from Sol Breads, while the fresh sushi, salads and wraps are made in house by owner Nereda Wills. Brown rice sushi comes with the likes of red quinoa, marinated tofu, sprouts and capsicum or arame, tamari seeds, cucumber and mayo. A lentil, caramelised onion and feta salad can come on its own, on the side or as part of a haloumi and salad wrap, while Byron Bay Gourmet pies are on offer for those wanting something a little heftier at lunchtime.

The usual mix of Leavain cakes and Naked Gaia balls will tempt treat seekers, while a new range of Sun & Earth packaged products makes snack time simple. Fruit mixes, soya crisps and dried fruits feature in green packaging – indicating the products are non-organic – while larder essentials like flour, beans, quinoa and barley come in brown (certified-organic) packaging. Accompany your weekly grocery shopping trip with a freshly squeezed juice, silky smoothie or organic coffee and a healthy bite to eat.
