Taste plates and casual eats at Stoke Bar, River Quay

While River Quay’s Stokehouse has previously been split into eating and drinking dens, its Stoke Bar is now offering a relaxed menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes.

Serving up a vast array of tasting plates and tapas, the new Stoke Bar menu also offers main dishes for those a tad more than peckish. Take your smoky, olive-topped martini with a side of Serrano ham and Spanish olives or indulge with the House Made Gnocchi accompanied by pork cheek, fresh peas, white wine and pecorino.

While older brother Stokehouse Q offers complex seafood and meat-heavy creations across a traditional pick-a-few-courses menu, Stoke Bar delivers the flexibility and price range of a tapas bar, while maintaining the flavour and fresh Australian produce the restaurant is known for. Stretch out on the deck at dusk as the city turns a shade of emerald, with a White Chocolate Pot and an Espresso Martini to kickstart the evening or as a post-theatre nightcap.
