Take a stroll down Bakery Lane to meet a quirky little cart loaded up with healthy refreshments and treats.

Boutiques and cafes have been opening one by one in Fortitude Valley’s new Bakery Lane over the past few weeks, revealing The Tree House tapas bar, Stock and Supply streetwear store, I Heart Brownies dessert hub and kiosk. cafe and bar. One of the lane’s newest residents, Skull It juice and smoothie bar, has eschewed a bricks-and-mortar shopfront, content to stand guard at the end of the laneway in the form of a tiki-themed drinks cart.

Nutritionist Taylor Harris and owner Pixie Weyand have crafted a mouth-watering menu of cold-pressed juices and smoothies, as well as Amazonia acai bowls topped with goodies like toasted muesli, chia seeds, strawberries, blueberries kiwi fruit and banana. Drop in for beverages freshly made from predominantly organic produce, such as the Digestion Juice featuring a Nutra Organics superfoods shot, pineapple, green apple, beetroot and mint or the Hangover Smoothie of wheatgrass, strawberries, coconut water and house-made lemon sorbet. The juices are also available at Lost Boys and will feature in cocktails at The Tree House soon. Keep an eye on social media for daily specials and seasonal menu tweaks, as well as the addition of ice blocks in the warmer months.
