Give summer a Spanish twist with locally crafted SKA Sangria

Originally created to disguise the mediocre taste of bad table wine, sangria has now become a summertime drink favourite in its native Spain and around the world.

Closer to home, Brisbane-based Spanish Boutique Beverages has created SKA Sangria, combining the flavours of Spain with local Australian ingredients. Hailing from Cantabria in northern Spain, founder Manolo Lopez has crafted the ready-to-drink blend using a secret family recipe, handed down from a long line of winemaking enthusiasts.

SKA Sangria combines cabernet and shiraz grape varietals from several Australian wine regions with juices and essences and remains preservative free, resulting in a sweet ready-to-drink beverage – all you need to do is add fresh fruit. You can sample the sweet Spanish blend from a number of restaurants, bars and bottleshops throughout Brisbane, including Plum Tucker, Brewhouse Bar and Bottle Shop, and The Wine Room.
