Woolloongabba’s Trafalgar Lane debuts first eatery Ribs & Burgers
Juicy burgers, succulent ribs, crispy onion rings – fierce hunger is about to meet its match with the new opening of Ribs & Burgers today at Woolloongabba’s newest food precinct.
If you’ve never tried the formidable food at Ribs & Burgers on James Street, I don’t know if we can actually be friends any more. I can forgive you if James Street is too far away to venture regularly (is it really a good excuse, though?), but if you live on the south side you should know that the highly anticipated Trafalgar Lane development is unveiling its first eatery today. That restaurant is – yep, you guessed it – Ribs & Burgers! Brisbane’s second boutique restaurant for mouth-watering meaty morsels is opening its doors to the ravenous hordes at 11:00 am today, with the first wave of patrons in line to be given a year’s supply of burgers. Did you hear me? Free. Burgers. For. A. Year. I’m stuck at my desk but if I wasn’t I’d be at the front of the line. There is still hope for you if you move quickly!
If you are still reading this, it means you missed out on the free burgs, but don’t worry because Ribs & Burgers is still well worth a visit. Each Ribs & Burgers location sources produce from local providers, shaping a menu that is tailored to its community. Ribs & Burgers Woolloongabba boasts a distinct Mediterranean influence throughout its menu, with a few new additions that you should be aware of. Patrons are invited to build their own burgers using the new Art of Crafting menu, where three base builds can be upgraded with your choice of protein and extras. The selections on the Art of Crafting menu will grow over time, offering something different each visit. Another new addition to the menu is a selection of rotating specials, which will change monthly. For its opening, the Woolloongabba location is offering an apple, lamb and blue cheese burger, a short rib burger and a haloumi cheese platter, while another new permanent addition is the St Louis-style smoky pork ribs and the addition of half portions for the other rib varieties. If you are well acquainted with the fare, you’ll be pleased to know that bottles of Aunty Jones’ pink mayo are still available in abundance to douse your dinner if desired. Ribs & Burgers will also offer tap beer in the near future, but already serves bottled varieties and wine.
