TWE Reel Food Night

Reel Food Night inspires at Wandering Cooks

Run by Youth Food Movement Australia, Reel Food Night is an inspiring evening of thought-provoking short food films, paired with a discussion panel and locally sourced food and wine to keep your stimulated bellies sated.

This travelling national event is coming to Brisbane for the first time this weekend, bringing together likeminded locals for a night of foodie discussions and feasting. Held at Wandering Cooks this Saturday August 30 from 5:30–10:00 pm, Reel Food Night will commence with a film screening, followed by an interactive panel discussion featuring Carol Richards (Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance), Richard Webb (Better Fish), Tom Maguire (Australian Meat Processors Corporation), Michael Hoare (Plenty) and Alf Orpen (Organic Farm Share). Sourced Grocer will be supplying tapas boxes filled with local delicacies and crackers made by the Youth Food Movement on the night, and local DJ Desmond Cheese will provide the tunes.

Reel Food Night offers a platform to learn more about the way food works, and explore solutions to food futures going forward. Youth Food Movement Australia aims to grow a generation of young Australians who are connected with their food to create a sustainable food future. Secure your ticket to this inspiring evening in advance or try your luck on the door.
