It sounds like a scene straight out of Las Vegas – scantily clad acrobats hanging off silks strung from the ceiling, magicians displaying impressive sleight of hand and winged stilt performers swanning through the space. This is what you’re likely to be greeted with when you enter new Fortitude Valley entertainment venue, Prestige Bar. The space is reminiscent of a hidden bar of yesteryear, with hard finishes of exposed-brick walls and wrought-iron railings contrasted by sleek timber and elegant chandeliers. Split over three levels, you can order from one of the bars (including up on the rooftop terrace) or opt for VIP bottle service on the mezzanine, where you will get a birds-eye view of the cheeky entertainment below (or suspended above you).

Prestige Bar has an ever-changing line-up of entertainers, including aerial silk acrobats, burlesque dancers, fire breathers and table magicians. Who doesn’t love a little adults-only circus fun? While you’re enjoying your drink and the risque entertainment, you can sashay to the soothing sounds of vinyl DJ sets. Prestige Bar is currently open to the public, but will officially celebrate its opening with a night of festivities on Friday October 2, followed by a fun and flirty ladies night on Sunday October 4.
