Inspired by the process of alchemy, the team at Tasmania’s Shene Estate Distillery have sought to craft a gin that is infused with a full flavour and fragrance. First released in August 2015, Poltergeist Gin is a small-batch spirit distilled in copper pots. Created by head distiller Damian Mackey, the recipe boasts an infusion of botanicals such as Tasmanian pepperberries and more ingredients sourced from across Australia.

Poltergeist Gin is sold in two varieties. The first is the True Spirit, a fragrant blend reminiscent of London dry gins, though filtered to create a crisp drinking experience. The Unfiltered variation retains the full range of flavours of the botanicals for a bold taste. A collector’s edition is available for those who would prefer to have both varieties on hand in the home bar.
