Renowned chef becomes Howzat market maestro

Popular Brisbane chef Philip Johnson is stepping away from e’cco on Friday nights to flip burgers at Howzat Burger at Eat Street Markets.

One of Brisbane’s most acclaimed chefs, Philip Johnson, is an important figure in the fine dining scene. His highly regarded restaurant, e’cco, has been a staple of the inner-city dining scene for years, but recently Philip has been trying his hand at other ventures. His burger business, Howzat Burger, has become a hot favourite at popular night destination, Eat Street Markets. On Friday nights you can find Philip at the Eat Street stall, manning the fryers and flipping patties – that’s right, the head chef has become a burger king. If you are yet to try a Howzat Burger, make sure you head to Eat Street Markets on Friday nights to catch a world-class chef getting back to his roots.
