Sway to flamenco guitar at Olé, South Bank

Sunday afternoons just became a whole lot more colourful with Olé at South Bank putting on Sunset Tapas – an evening of fragrant Spanish morsels, sangria and live flamenco guitar.

As the resident Spanish guitarist’s fingers flutter over the strings, you can be transported to the streets of Barcelona, while you browse the Sunset Tapas menu. With a choice of two tapas and two raciones, sample the likes of fried manchego cheese with tomato jam and Empanadas of tuna and green olives.

Bringing the vibrant, colourful country of Spain to the streets of South Bank, Olé creates authentic, fresh Spanish cuisine, with a modern twist. From imported sherries, wines and beers, to paella and meat-heavy dishes, Olé enchants the senses with the vivacity of its mother country on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Sip carafes of fruit-filled sangria, taste slivers of jamon ribboned like the frill of a Spanish dancer’s skirt, or opt for heftier portions of traditional chickpea, seafood and meat dishes like the Albondigas – beef and chorizo meatballs served with sourdough.
