Noosa Chocolate Factory sets up shop in Brisbane City

For those of us who are avid chocoholics, the passionate ritual involved in chocolate consumption will be all too familiar. Each bite into a sweet, velvety cube is a whimsical and indulgent sensory journey, revealing unique favours and textures that cause your tastebuds to stand to attention.

From humble beginnings selling towers of lush chocolate at market stalls throughout Southeast Queensland, Noosa Chocolate Factory has moved to permanent digs on Adelaide Street. Stocking everything from the brand’s beloved rocky road to coated Queensland macadamias, the new shop space is a readily available go-to for personal treats or edible gifts.

The creation of Amy Sargeantson and Chris Thomson, Noosa Chocolate Factory has been producing rich chocolate from Belgian couverture and local ingredients for the past four years. With chocolatiering and lolly-making the tricks of the family trade since the 1940s, Chris followed in his ancestors’ footsteps crafting unique chocolate flavours that embrace Queensland produce. Locally sourced ingredients and exotic dried fruits form the basis of Noosa Chocolate Factory products, which are combined with peanut- and palm-oil-free chocolate.

In the coming week, Noosa Chocolate Factory also plans to open a second store a few doors down on Adelaide Street, serving coffee roasted by Fonzie Abbott Espresso, alongside single-origin chocolates.
